Does metamucil detoxify your body?

I was needing to know about the effects of metamucil and if it detoxifies your body. There is this pill out call DUAL ACTION CLEANSE and it was recently advertised on tv and the man behind the product said that it rids our body of 22 lbs. of undigested fecal matter. Go to google.com and type in dual action cleanse for the search and you tell me if metamucil is better.

Since you ask for my suggestion, i prefer Metamucil. It’s rich in fiber that is good for our GI tract.

If you’ve been constipated for the last month, yes that would be true. Otherwise, its a bunch of crap, pun intended.
Metamucil and “detox” products have the same effect.
Eating laxatives does not “detox” your body. All of these programs are pseudo-scientific nonsense cooked up by con-men to suck money out of your purse.
Will you lose weight following one of these programs? Yes, of course. Just as you lose weight when you have diarrhea. Dehydration and starvation (because you aren’t absorbing any nutrients) are not a sensible weight loss plan.
Save yourself some money, as well as wear and tear on your digestive tract. If you want to lose weight, don’t eat so much.
